Phoenix Logistics is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team. The Project Manager will be requested to lead start-up operations, often in a facility with no prior Phoenix Logistics presence. In addition, the Project Manager may be called on to work with an existing Phoenix Logistics site management team to improve performance, add a new account to a location, or add a new service offering to an existing customer. The Project Manager may also be asked to assist with acquisition transitions, including warehouse process and safety reviews, technology assessments, and staffing and personnel evaluations.

Requirements

  • A proven leader with at least 6 years of rising management responsibilities in the warehouse, distribution, and transportation field.
  • Must possess the ability to make good decisions and solve unique problems while establishing and managing all day-to-day functions of a new warehouse or distribution center.
  • Instill a culture of uncompromising safety awareness where corporate safety procedures are embraced and implemented.
  • The Project Manager is often leading a new customer start-up; this person must have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with a new customer, as well as newly established suppliers.
  • Must have the ability to utilize leading-edge warehouse technology.
  • The Project Manager will be required to spend extended periods of time away from their home base (this position is 80% travel).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with warehouse layouts and site security, designing exterior traffic patterns and interior pallet flow, and providing material handling equipment recommendations.
  • Create daily and weekly reports to the Manager.
  • Audit daily labor and billing reports.
  • Ensure all associates follow policies and work rules, including safety work rules.

While the local Site Manager position is vacant, the Project Manager will:

  • Schedule the staff based on the customer.
  • Interview, hire, and onboard new employees.
  • Manage, lead, train, and develop new employees.
  • Hold daily shift change and weekly safety meetings with the site crew.
  • Document and resolve any customer service issues.

Phoenix Logistics is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our growing team, The IT Support Specialist installs, modifies, makes minor repairs to company computer hardware and software systems, provides technical advice and support to system users, and provides technology training for end users, alongside providing continued support to IT systems, networks, and end users.

Technical Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide end-user help desk support.
  • Work with the team to plan, test, and deploy hardware and software in the company.
  • Monitor and perform preventative maintenance for workstations and laptops as needed.
  • Respond to telephone calls, emails, and personnel requests for technical support.
  • Document, track, and monitor any problems to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Serve as the primary link for end users and higher-level support.

User Support (50%)

  • Assist on-site and remote staff with tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging, email issues, phone issues, printer/scanner issues, Dropbox issues, productivity software issues, etc.).
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshoot general IT infrastructure such as large multifunction printers, Wi-Fi access points, video cameras, smart TVs, audio devices, conference room equipment, etc.
  • Provide access to and escort for contractors, electricians, fire system techs, IT guests, etc.

IT Setup/Configuration/Hardware (20%)

  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
  • Assist with IT onboarding and separating of company staff.
  • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (scanners, printers, etc.).
  • Check computer hardware (monitors, mice, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality.
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
  • Configure hardware/networks per specifications for deployment.
  • Respond to alerts from internal and external systems.
  • Assist with the responsible disposal of legacy/damaged equipment.
  • Respond to incidents/emergencies (power failure, water leaks, fire, etc.) and assist with protecting, repairing, or salvaging IT infrastructure.

IT Administrative (10%)

  • Maintain proper software licensing for users/company and renew or upgrade as necessary.
  • Maintain stock peripheral devices. Ensure internal inventories are accurate and true.
  • Identify IT equipment shortages and place orders. Monitor tracking of incoming orders.
  • Assist with warranty, exchange, and return items.
  • Receive IT packages and process items (adjust inventory, stock items, stage for project, etc.).
  • Maintain clean IT workspaces and assist with trash removal when necessary.
  • Create and manage users, contacts, and groups in active directory. Reset/lookup passwords.

On-site/Project Support (20%)

  • Research needed solutions and products.
  • Provide on-site technical project support for Phoenix Companies.
  • Set up on-site workstations.
  • Assist running and terminating low-voltage cable and fiber.
  • Rack IT equipment in server rooms and switch racks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Professional Requirements:

  • High school diploma, some college preferred.
  • Experience in IT preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite required; experience with Microsoft products, Office 365 preferred.
  • Training or customer service experience preferred.
  • Must be willing to learn and build new skills as they pertain to the existing environment and changes to the network infrastructure.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work with small electrical components.
  • Must be able to climb ladders to work in ceilings or on rooftops.
  • Must be able to lift over 50lbs. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.

We are seeking an organized, diligent, and responsible Accounting Assistant. In this position, you will interact daily with our customer service staff to assist in adequately invoicing our customers, handle basic accounting duties and assist with month-end activities. While the primary responsibilities of this position are listed below, we all wear many hats that are not always relating directly to our position.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue invoices to customers.
  • Assisting customers and business partners via telephone and email.
  • Month-end general ledger entries and account reconciliation.
  • Enter tenant receipts into the accounting system and assist with collections.
  • Review and ensure payables have accurate GL codes and proper approvals.
  • Maintain accounting databases by entering data into the accounting system.
  • Prepare and enter journal entries for month-end close, including accruals, depreciation, amortization, capitalization, and true-up entries.
  • Analyze variances, review ledger details, and record adjusted entries on assigned accounts.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations, fixed asset reconciliations, etc.
  • Assist in year-end audits/reviews and tax preparation work.
  • Prepare and analyze annual and long-term forecasts and budgets.

Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of a two-year accounting degree is desirable (or completing a degree).
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Customer-service oriented with interest in developing & maintaining customer relationships.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance the completion of several tasks while being self-motivated.
  • Strong attention to detail, positive attitude, willingness, and eagerness to learn new skills
  • Prior experience with an accounting ERP preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills as the candidate will be required to interface with internal and external stakeholders (property managers, construction personnel, vendors, tenants, customers, etc.).
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently.

Phoenix National Transportation (operating as Sam Dunn Express) seeks a full-time Regional Driver to join our team. We are a well-established local business with most customers in the Longview and Kilgore area. Loads may consist of dry food-grade or non-food grade products in 53′ dry vans, no-touch freight. This position is ideal for someone who doesn’t want to be gone two to three weeks at a time; drivers get to enjoy weekly time at home while still making a great living.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick up and deliver goods for various customers throughout Texas and the surrounding area (Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas)
  • Ability to drop and hook 48′ to 53′ dry van trailers
  • Experience with dry food-grade products is a plus
  • Operate within a 500-mile radius of our Longview office
  • Must be willing to spend 2 – 3 nights/week away from home, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Class A, CDL, solo driver
  • Must be 22 years old with at least 2 years of CDL experience
  • Verifiable history of good, consistent work, including attendance
  • Clean motor vehicle record
  • Three or fewer moving violations in the past 3 years (restrictions apply)
  • No more than one preventable accident in the last three years, as recorded by the DOT
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background checks are required

Phoenix National Transportation (operating as Sam Dunn Express) seeks part-time short-haul drivers to join our team. We are a well-established local business with most customers in the Longview and Kilgore areas. Loads may consist of dry food-grade or non-food grade products in 48′ to 53′ dry vans, no-touch freight. Typical days start at 7 AM for the early shift and end at 6 PM for the late shift, Monday through Friday. No guaranteed minimum hours, and you set the maximum hours available.

Responsibilities:

  • The part-time driver must be available for short notice fill-in, especially for full-time drivers who are off due to illness or vacation
  • The part-time driver will be on-call on an as-needed basis, for a few days a month up to an entire week at a time with advanced notice; no overnights
  • Ability to drop and hook 48′ to 53′ dry van trailers
  • Experience with dry food-grade products is a plus
  • Operate within 150 air-miles of our Longview office

Qualifications:

  • Class A, CDL, solo driver
  • Must be 22 years old with at least 2 years CDL experience
  • Verifiable history of good, consistent work, including attendance

We are hiring a National Sales Coordinator specializing in third-party logistics (3PL) with an emphasis on contract warehousing, distribution, and e-commerce fulfillment. The position will be responsible for establishing relationships with new customers, building a rapport with existing clients, and growing revenue. This position is full-time exempt, with a significant component of compensation to be incentive-based.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve aggressive sales goals.
  • Generate revenue through prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business.
  • Understand customer requirements, procedures, and goals to collaborate with Operations.
  • Develop and maintain long-term consultative customer relationships to understand where to offer solutions.
  • Maintain regular contact with existing customers to help resolve issues by interfacing between the customer and our operations, generate organic growth and sell our services in other markets.
  • Be a logistics and trucking expert.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Experience selling 3PL services using a variety of pricing models.
  • Build trust with customers by ensuring that all of their needs are being met as committed.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to create presentations and speak in front of groups.
  • Be driven by results, yet patient to work through the sales process.
  • Demonstrate an ability to have a high degree of attention to detail.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience performing sales in the logistics, warehousing, or trucking industry.
  • Past operational experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment is a plus.
  • Working understanding of WMS functionality.
  • Transportation experience is also helpful.

Phoenix Logistics seeks an organized, diligent, and responsible material handler and warehouse worker. In this position, you will interact on a daily basis with your fellow warehouse employees to successfully service our customers.
